How to manage the stresses of starting University

How to manage the stresses of starting University

It’s that time of year when teenagers are finally leaving home and embarking on one of life’s big adventures – starting at University.

It’s an emotional journey for all involved – and sometimes can be stressful.

For the young it means adapting to living in a completely different environment with increased personal responsibility, away from family, making new friends, studying a new subject …

And whilst a new chapter is opening that is going to be full of promise and excitement, the stresses involved can sometimes exacerbate an existing eczema or psoriasis condition.

Prevention in this case can may be better than cure, so it’s worth packing some Dead Sea Bathcare products along with all the other student paraphernalia.

We’d suggest our original Dead Sea Bath Salts – perfect for sinking into after an afternoon’s sport or after a tough day at lectures.

If time is a bit more limited then use Dead Sea Natural Mineral Shower Creme and moisturise afterwards with Dead Sea Body Lotion.

All these products have had excellent reviews by eczema and psoriasis sufferers who have found they really relieved symptoms.

For acne breakouts, our Black Mud Mask Soap has a cult following – and also helps with other skin conditions.

None of our products are expensive, they can all be bought in Boots and are suitable for vegans. They are also chemical free and only contain natural ingredients so users can be reassured they’re only putting natural goodness from the Dead Sea onto their skin .

You can buy all our Dead Sea products online here – browse through.

Even if you don’t suffer from a skin complaint, all our skincare products are wonderful for maintaining a healthy skin and are SLS free and without parabens.

Ways To Deal With Acne Problems

Ways To Deal With Acne Problems

There’s no two ways about it, acne can be a real blight.

It generally rears its ugly head during puberty – when to be honest, teenagers have quite enough other things to be thinking about rather than getting zits. Stuff like making GCSE choices, studying, friendships, relationships, sports …

Having regular skin breakouts can result in a real confidence crisis. And acne isn’t just confined to teenagers either – it can also appear in adults at times of hormonal changes like the menopause.

Nowadays there are loads of acne treatments available – creams, lotions, facial washes – and in extreme cases a GP might prescribe a course of medication.

But what can you do to lessen the symptoms of acne and help yourself to make breakouts of spots and pimples less regular? Keep those zits under control?

First of all, carry on living a healthy lifestyle

Get plenty of fresh fruit, exercise (outside if possible), sleep and try not to get too stressed. Exercise and meditation can cause real alleviation of stress symptoms, so think about activities you enjoy that you will stick to.

Change your pillowcase daily to stop bacteria multiplying. Drink plenty of water.

What about skincare that will help spots and pimples?

There are a lot of acne products out there which claim to eliminate blackheads, spots, banish redness and give you a cure.

Well, some may work but many are very harsh on the skin and can create a whole different set of problems and even spark up an allergic reaction.

It’s best to start off taking things gently. Use natural products with a minimum of additives (like perfume). Cleansers that clean the skin effectively without draining out all the natural oils the dermis needs to stay healthy.

It might seem odd to use soap on your face – but many acne sufferers have tried our Black Mud Mask Soap and reported that it has made a real difference to reducing breakouts of spots.

It’s not expensive (£3.75 in Boots)

You can use it as a face wash – or as a mask (in which case leave it on your face for a minute or so to allow the natural minerals to sink into your pores).

And of course, its use isn’t just restricted to your face. You can use it all over your body, particularly on areas prone to acne like backs and chests.

Because it contains only natural ingredients, it is sls free and contains no parabens, so you know that there are no unpleasant chemicals with potential side effects lurking. And it’s also suitable for vegans.

OK magazine said our products “help skin complaints, such as eczema, psoriasis and acne, as well as stimulating the blood circulation and cell rejuvenation.”

You can read more reviews from happy customers about how Black Mud Mask soap has helped with acne, spots and blemishes here.

But perhaps you shouldn’t just take our word for it. Why not buy a bar of Black Mud Mask soap and see what a difference it could make to your skin?

A bar will last you a good few weeks. You won’t see results overnight – the soap has a build-up effect, but within a few days you may well be delighted with the positive effective it has on your acne problems.

Should We Be One Of Your New Year Resolutions?

Should We Be One Of Your New Year Resolutions?

Looking good, feeling great

It’s a cliché, but if you feel good, then you’re likely to glow from the inside out and look your best as a result. Maybe that’s why brides always seem to have a beautiful glow on their wedding days!

But what if you find that your skin tends to let you down?

If you have a condition like eczema, psoriasis or acne then it’s hard to feel great on the inside when you don’t feel you look your best.

Which is where we’d like to help you

Our products are all 100% natural and have helped many sufferers of skin conditions. Some acne sufferers wouldn’t be without our cult Black Mud Mask soap. Many teenagers put far too many astringent chemicals on their skin in the hope of making it clearer but in many cases all this does is exacerbate the problem causing redness and dryness. Far better to use something that’s more natural that won’t stir up trouble.

We’re delighted to report that irritating conditions like scalp psoriasis have also been eased by products like our conditioner.

teenagers with good skin

Clear, unblemished skin is a real mission for many teenagers who suffer from acne

The waters of the Dead Sea have long been a source of relief to sufferers of skin complaints, rheumatism and arthritis. Now of course, in an ideal world, you’d have a special tap in your bathroom that ran water direct from the Dead Sea so that you could soak up its benefits whenever you wanted.

Obviously, that’s not a practical solution but choosing a Dead Sea product you can soak in, lather onto your skin or wash your hair with is an easy way forward.

If you’re a vegetarian or vegan, you can be very comfortable using our products as they contain no animal fats at all. Also no parabens and are sls free, so you’re also looking after your skin without resorting to chemicals.

Rather than creating fancy packaging and paying supermodels to promote our products, we’ve always preferred to let them speak for themselves. And if you look at some of the write-ups and reviews by the Financial Times and various magazines, as well as our loyal customers, you’ll see why.

You might like to start off by trying our Natural Mineral Soap which you can buy in Boots for just £3.75 or maybe our Natural Mineral Shower Cream at £7.79.

It could be a whole new start for your skincare routine – see what a difference we make to your skin  in 2015.
